Board Meetings
The six-member FSSD Board of Education usually meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 PM. The meeting dates are listed below. A public input session is held at the beginning of each meeting for residents of the FSSD to address the board. Meetings conducted during the COVID pandemic that were limited to attendance, were either recorded live by authorization of Tennessee Executive Order 16 and amended by Executive Orders 34, 51 and 60.

Agenda Items
Pursuant to FSSD Board Policy 1.403, for items to be considered on the agenda, they must be received in the director’s office at least six (6) days prior to the scheduled date of the meeting. The person(s) requesting an item on the agenda shall forward any background information to the director’s office so that the material will be included in the delivery to the board members prior to the meeting.
All matters proposed to be submitted to the Board shall first be brought before the director so that he/she may advise the party as to whether the Board has already adopted a policy under which the matter may be decided without special board action.
