Tuition
The Franklin Special School District accepts out of district students on a tuition basis as program capacity is available. The tuition rates are listed below and provide an exceptional value for a high quality education. In fact, the FSSD per pupil expenditures (2021-2022) was $17,643 compared to the state average of $10,581.
The per-pupil expenditure measure reflects the total expenditures by the district divided by the number of students enrolled in the district. This provides insight into the size of the investment that districts are making in their students.
Williamson County Residents
If you live in Williamson County, you may apply for tuition at $2,000 annually per student. This fee takes into account the tax dollars that you pay as a county resident, but not the FSSD property tax.
Outside Williamson County
If you live outside Williamson County, you may apply for tuition at a cost of $4,000 annually per student. This fee reflects uncollected tax dollars that are earmarked for education in our county and district.
