Performing Arts Center
The FSD Performing Arts Center (PAC) is a beautiful 34,400 square-foot auditorium available to FSD schools for students to showcase their talents, as well as for the community to use on a rental basis.
The PAC is located at the north end of Poplar Grove Middle School and includes a 485-seat auditorium with a multipurpose stage, fly loft, and performance support spaces. Additionally, there are performance areas including changing rooms, a prop shop, and prop and costume storage. In the lobby area, guests may visit the FSD Legacy Gallery, a space where the district’s long history is celebrated in multimedia displays and a classroom vignette.

Legacy Gallery
The Franklin Special District Legacy Gallery, located inside the PAC adjacent to the lobby, is an interactive exploration of the history, significant events and traditions that make this district and our schools an integral part of the Franklin landscape.
The room is inspired by the FSD’s rich history of providing an exceptional education to the many families that have walked the halls of our schools for over a century. Visitors will learn about the district’s inception through a vote by the City of Franklin’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen, how the city school district became a “special school district,” the beginning of transportation, black history within the school district and an early 1900s classroom vignette depicting early school life. The interactive table provides a look into the history of all of our schools, past and present.
Through use of compelling and diverse stories, the Legacy Gallery serves as a place for discovery and inquiry, and introduces visitors to the narratives and themes that make the FSD so special in the Franklin community.
