Finance Department

Under the direction of the Associate Director of Schools for Finance, Administration, and Legal Services, the Finance Department manages the district’s financial operations and supports the responsible stewardship of public funds. Overseen by the FSD Accounting Coordinator, the department coordinates payroll, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, recordkeeping and other essential business functions.

Finance Department staff work closely with schools, departments, employees and vendors to process payments, maintain accurate financial records, support payroll and benefits deductions, reconcile accounts and ensure district transactions follow applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. The department is committed to accuracy, transparency and timely service while supporting the district’s daily operations and long-term financial stability.
 

Financial Statements

As in all previous years, the most recent audit, conducted by Matlock Clements, Certified Public Accountants, provided the FSD with an “unqualified opinion,” which demonstrates a judgment of “no reservation” as to the fairness of presentation of a company’s financial statements and their conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
