Now Enrolling Preschool & Pre-K Programs

Franklin Special District is now enrolling for both our preschool and Pre-K programs for the 2026-2027 school year. If you have a child who will be 3, 4, or 5, this is a good time to explore your options and find the best fit.

We offer two early learning programs:

  • Positive Peer Model Program (Preschool): Part of our special education preschool, this program includes typically developing 3- and 4-year-olds who learn alongside peers in the classroom. Tuition is $1,500 per semester, with a sliding scale available for qualifying families.
  • Voluntary Pre-K (VPK): A free, state-funded program for income-eligible families, focused on kindergarten readiness through early academics, social development, and structured classroom learning.

A few key details for both programs:

  • Classes are held Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Programs are located at FSD elementary schools
  • Families provide transportation
  • Students must reside in FSD or have a parent employed by the district

I’ve attached a flyer with additional information, including age requirements and eligibility details for each program.
