FSD Celebrates Exemplary Performance on 2024–25 TN Report Card

Franklin Special District (FSD) is proud to celebrate the strong performance of its schools following the release of the Tennessee Department of Education’s 2024–25 State Report Card. All eight FSD schools earned impressive results, reflecting the district’s continued commitment to academic excellence, student growth, and whole-child success.

Across the district, FSD schools received four A letter grades and four B letter grades, demonstrating consistent, high-quality performance. Notably, all eight schools earned a Level 5 in Achievement, the highest designation awarded by the state. Additionally, all five FSD elementary schools earned Tennessee Reward School status, recognizing them as among the state’s top-performing schools.

FSD Report Card highlights include:

Level 5 in Student Achievement: Franklin Elementary, Johnson Elementary, Liberty Elementary, Moore Elementary, Poplar Grove Elementary, Poplar Grove Middle, Freedom Intermediate, Freedom Middle (all FSD schools)

Level 5 Student Growth:  Franklin Elementary, Moore Elementary, Poplar Grove Elementary, Freedom Middle

Level 5 Growth for Highest Need Students:  Franklin Elementary

As a result of these accomplishments, Franklin Special District is one of only 14 districts in Tennessee to be designated an Exemplary District by the Tennessee Department of Education.

The State Report Card provides families and communities with a snapshot of school and district performance, including student achievement and academic growth. FSD’s results reflect the collective efforts of dedicated educators, supportive families, and students who rise to high expectations every day.

“These are strong TN Report Card results, with every school achieving a Level 5 in Achievement,” said FSD Director of Schools Dr. David Snowden. “These grades and designations reflect the high expectations we hold for students and the consistent, high-quality instruction taking place across Franklin Special District every day.”
