This award recognizes exemplary school health leaders who demonstrate dedication, advocacy, and administrative excellence, positively impacting the well-being of students and school communities. Fisher’s leadership has strengthened health services across FSD’s PreK–8 schools and elevated the standard of coordinated care for students and families.

“Our district is stronger and healthier because of Amy Fisher’s leadership,” said Franklin Special District Director of Schools Dr. David Snowden. “Her compassion for children, her calm presence in moments of crisis, and her deep commitment to ensuring every student feels safe and cared for represent the very best of who we are as a district.”

Since joining FSD, Fisher has expanded professional development for school nursing staff, streamlined districtwide health protocols, and strengthened community partnerships to better support student wellness. Her leadership was especially vital in guiding health operations during recent years marked by heightened public health demands.

Fisher said she is honored to receive the award and grateful for the team she works alongside. “This recognition is a reflection of our school nurses across the district and the dedication they show every day,” she said. “I am thankful to serve a district that values student health and invests in the resources needed to help our students thrive.”
