The very popular Story Bus program is part of FSSD’s community outreach program and is designed to foster a love for reading in children ages 3 through the 4th grade (younger if accompanied by an adult).  The operation of the Story Bus has been primarily during the summer with a staff composed of certified teachers and volunteers. 

The Story Bus program concentrates on the fostering of a love of reading in young children, but the district hopes to be able to expand its focus on the academic needs of children through the eighth grade.  The bus will be used as:
