Johnson Elementary was established in 1958 as an African American School named after Dr. Charles C. Johnson. The school has undergone several additions and a renovation in 2000. The administration, faculty, and staff at Johnson Elementary is committed to teaching in a safe and caring learning environment. Johnson Elementary has only had four principals since its opening in 1958.

The current principal of Johnson School is Jan Cochran. The assistant principal is Tosha Robinson .

News and Events

*There will be a Kindergarten Parent Meeting on Monday, August 30th at 6:00PM.

*There will be no school on Monday, September 6th for the Labor Day holiday.

*The next Spirit Night will be held at Shane's Rib Shack on Thursday, September 9th beginning at 4:00PM. Come out and support Johnson Elementary!

*Individual School Pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 21st. Please make sure your child still wears tennis shoes for PE class!

*The first early dismissal day of the year will be on Wednesday, September 22nd. School will dismiss at 12:30. Please make sure you let us know how your child will get home this day.

*Open House will be held on Thursday, September 23rd at 6:00PM.
