Johnson Elementary was established in 1958 as an African American School named after Dr. Charles C. Johnson. The school has undergone several additions and a renovation in 2000. The administration, faculty, and staff at Johnson Elementary are committed to teaching in a safe and caring learning environment. Johnson Elementary has only had five principals since its opening in 1958.

The current principal of Johnson School is Tosha Robinson. The assistant principal is Ashley McCoy.

*May 8th: Pinkerton Park Walk for 1st and 2nd graders

*May 8th: Kindergarten Classes will walk to Jim Warren Park

*May 9th: Pinkerton Park Walk for 3rd and 4th graders

*May 17th: Art Show and Ice Cream Social from 6:00-7:00PM

*May 18th: Field Day! Lunch outside for everyone!

*May 21st: 4th grade end-of-the-year party (1:00-3:00)

*May 22nd: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! Awards Day and Sing-a-Long. School will dismiss at 10:30 and report cards will be issued.
